"AMERICAN INVENTOR" TV CONTESTANT FUR-FILLS DREAM &
INVENTS THE FUR-EVER-FRIENDS KEEPSAKE MEMORIAL URN!

Dan Gersten, a Top-24 contestant during the premiere season of ABC’s "American Inventor" was sent home
for being ahead of his time.  Dan invented the "Mobile Family Plot," a keepsake memorial urn for the
cremated remains of multiple entities, i.e. people, pets or both. WHY? Because the show’s judges weren’t
sure that America was ready for it.  That was a few years ago.

Dan earnestly began to develop his idea for a keepsake memorial urn; applying for and receiving a patent,
having an initial prototype made and seeking potential licensees among the nation’s largest casket and urn
companies and cremation services providers.  Each interaction evoked a similar response,
“great idea, not
at this time."
Then came "American Inventor."

Dan:
“My daughter sent me an email about the "American Inventor" casting call in Los Angeles! So I went
and long story short, I made it into the Top 24, pitching to be one of the show’s 12 finalists who would
receive development money and compete for the $1,000,000 grand prize!”

Shortly after appearing on "American Inventor," Dan attended a marketing seminar hosted by the Cremation
Association of North America (CANA) which inspired him to re-direct his efforts: and The Fur-Ever-Friends
Keepsake Memorial Urn was born!

Dan:
"I’m an animal lover and I have the cremated remains of Frisco, my first dog, and Mouser, my first cat,
in separate containers in a cabinet somewhere in my home.  There was something about marketing the
urn specifically for pets that just felt right.”

The Fur-Ever-Friends Keepsake Memorial Urn is currently designed to hold a symbolic amount of the
cremated remains of up to three pets, in addition to other small mementos like an ID tag.  Its unique,
patented, triangular shape allows for all three sides to have space for displaying a personalized plaque
defining the pet owner’s individual style and highlighting each pet’s one-of-a-kind personality.  Further,
each urn, presently available in one of five different finishes, is compact, elegant and lightweight, making it
ideal for display in the home or at work.

Dan:
"What began as a keepsake urn for multiple people is now a keepsake urn for multiple pets.  Still, it’s
about bringing people and things together and the Fur-Ever-Friends urn does just that – allowing those
with more than one departed pet to keep them, and their memories of them, together."
